Molecular implications of the stepwise progression of lung adenocarcinoma

In this study, we performed whole-genome sequencing and multi-layered analysis of early and advanced lung adenocarcinoma. We especially focused on multi-omics features in very early adenocarcinoma cases which are classified by Noguchi classification to understand key molecular events during cancer progression in very early stages. We analyzed a total of 76 non-small cell lung cancer cases including 48 very early adenocarcinomas.
Newly obtained sequencing data and the related information were deposited in the Japanese Genotype-Phenotype Archive (JGA, http://trace.ddbj.nig.ac.jp/jga), which is hosted by the National Bioscience Database Center (NBDC) and DDBJ with the identifier JGAS000570. Additionally, short read whole-genome sequencing (WGS) and long read WGS datasets from the 20 advanced NSCLC cases that were previously obtained and reported (Sakamoto Y et al. 2020 Genome Res; Sakamoto Y, Miyake S, Oka M et al. 2022 Nat Commun) were deposited in the DDBJ JGA with accession numbers JGAS000065 (JGAD000252 and JGAD000253) and JGAS000349.
